We all know that Rajnikant’s 2.0 is due to release next year.
But it is not yet known that a short featurette on the 3D technology used in the film was released last Saturday adding to the buzz surrounding the movie.
It features crew members of the movie talking about the 3D technology used and has actor Akshay Kumar, who plays the antagonist in the movie, sharing his experiences about working in a 3D film.
Stating that they shot the film in 3D because the script demanded it, director Shankar made it clear in the video that there were a lot of visual effects and action scenes in the movie which the audience will enjoy. The featurette also has cinematographer Nirav Shah speaking about the technicalities of shooting in 3D and how the result was magical.
In a voice-over, actor Rajinikanth describes the outcome of shooting in 3D as mesmerising. “I am waiting to see the reaction of the audience and I assure you, it won’t be less than a Hollywood 3D movie,” he claimed.
The movie, initially slated to release around Deepavali, is currently in the post-production stage. It is a sequel to Endhiran that starred Amy Jackson.
