Ant-Man and the Wasp earned USD 9 million at the box office in the US this weekend, bringing its domestic box office total to USD 183.7 million, surpassing the original Ant-Man movie’s box office total of USD 183 million.
Ant-Man earned USD 339.1 million from international markets. So far, Ant-Man and the Wasp earned USD 211.1 million from international markets.
Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest installment saw an opening of Rs 7.05 crore across India, that was released on July 13 alongside Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Soorma’.
Compared to the last two Marvel releases – Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther, this movie started off with an average box office run in India. Avengers: Infinity War collected Rs. 30 crore on Day 1, making it 2018’s biggest opening in India while Black Panther made Rs. 5.60 crore.

Combined, Ant-Man earned USD 519.3 million worldwide during its box office run. Ant-Man and the Wasp’s worldwide box office total currently sits at USD 394.2 million.
Ant-Man and the Wasp opened on 4,206 screens.
Produced at a budget of USD 162 million, The film stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne/Wasp in pivotal roles.
The next Marvel film, Captain Marvel, is all set to release on March 8, 2019, followed by Avengers 4, to release in May next year.
