Fans went berserk after an extended video for Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa, hit on Friday.
On Thursday, director James Wan shared a poster and hinted “something” else was coming.
A Son of the Land…
A King of the Seas…
He’s the Protector of the Deep.

Fans who perhaps were expecting only a short two-minute trailer were gifted with the new footage which runs over five minutes and shows basic story origin, marine action scenes and Jason in classic Aquaman suit for the first time.
As per the official synopsis, the film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime-one that will not only force him to face who he really is but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be a king. Aquaman is the son of a human lighthouse keeper and the Atlantean queen (Nicole Kidman), making him the rightful heir to the throne. But in his marine journey, there are plenty of foes in his way, including Orm, the present King of Atlantis, and Black Manta, an armored mercenary and classic Aquaman foe.
The movie’s first trailer made a huge splash at San Diego Comic-Con in late July. As of early October, it’s been watched more than 40 million times.
The film is directed by James Wan and also stars Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman
Aquaman is all set to swim to theatres on December 21, 2018.
