Brand Licensing Europe: Find out the secret to Moomin’s success at booth D085

moomin-color-in-book_npm2014 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Moomin creator, well-known author and illustrator Tove Jansson. The centennial festivities celebrate her art and life throughout the year, including in-store promotions and international exhibitions, as well as a range of anniversary products called Tove 100, where a portion of sales will be donated to UNICEF.

“Children around the world love Tove Jansson’s work, so we wanted to give something back by supporting UNICEF’s education projects worldwide,” says Gustav Melin, Head of Licensing, Bulls Licensing.

”We have already reached our Project goal. Year to date we have over 700,000 Euro in donation to UNICEF. This has been a great opportunity for us to practice corporate social responsibility through a licensing product,” says Gustav Melin.

The secret to this success has been the same since the beginning: The books, created by Tove Jansson, have made the Moomins some of the most beloved characters of today.

Bulls Licensing has been the agent for licensing worldwide since the 1950’s, and have created one of the most success- ful licensed brands, with approximately 450 licensees worldwide.

The Moomins were among the most influential and powerful brands of 2013, according to Power Brands list.

UNIQLO signed a partnership agreement with Moomin through Bulls Licensing in 2013, and the company has launched a successful range of new Moomin products, with more collections for women and children to come this year.

A brand new animation will hit the big screen in October 2014, and in 2015 a Moomin theme park will open in Japan, as announced by FinTech Global Inc. (FGI) and Puuha International Oy.

You are welcome to meet the Moomin family in booth D085 at Brand Licensing Europe, Olympia, London from October 7-9 2014.
