Brands with Influence continues to grow its portfolio, with the addition of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer from Character Arts in the US.
The deal follows on from extensive discussions at Licensing Expo back in June, and will see BWI manage the merchandise and licensing for the brand.
The Rudolph brand has been growing steadily in the US on the back of the classic animated film. Now, with new publishing and potential re-runs of the movie across the glove, as well as new live experiences, Rudolph is returning to the UK.
“Every child and adult in the country has heard of Rudolph and his heartwarming Christmas story,” said Martin Lowde from BWI. “The brand is now 50 years old and still glowing. We are really excited to explore how we can work with licensees and retailers to recreate the magic for 2015 and beyond.”
Jonathan Flom from Character Arts added: “The story of Rudolph, as told in the song, has become a part of the global Christmas tradition. Through these new initiatives, we will introduce the international audience to the full story and family of characters that continue to ‘glow strong’ in North America after 50 years.”
