Turner-owned UK pre-school channel Cartoonito has picked up CHF Entertainment’s new 2D-animated series Daisy & Ollie.
The 52 x 7 minute toon, executively produced by British comedian Jason Manford will premiere exclusively on the channel in October. The comedian will also voice for multiple characters in the series.
Based on an original idea by Helen Brown, Daisy & Ollie follows the adventures of the titular characters along with their toys Boo the Monkey and Whizzy the Robot as they seek out the answers to questions all kids have like “Why ducks don’t wear rain coats?”
The series also features music and songs from Daisy’s dad and encourages children to be curious and ask questions about the world around them.
Earlier in June, CHF Entertainment’s 2D-animated pre-school series Pip Ahoy! made its on-demand debut in China, thanks to the production company’s partnership with Yecheng Shanghai Media, Shanghai Media Group-owned Wings Media and China Telecom. CHF has begun production on a 26 x 11-minute third season of Pip Ahoy! in collaboration with Wings Media, with new episodes expected to bow at the end of 2017.
