Nickelodeon will continue with the exciting exploits of Henry Hart in all-new animated adventures when The Adventures of Kid Danger premieres on January 19. The series follows heroic Kid Danger and Captain Man as they battle bizarre criminals and super villains with their sharp wits and amazing skills. New episodes will roll out in the same timeslot. The 10 x half-hour series is based on the characters from TV’s top kids’ series Henry Danger and will reveal brand-new areas of the superheroes’ cool HQ for the first time including the Man Cave tube system they use to launch into crime-fighting adventures and the Man Hanger full of crime-fighting vehicles and gadgets. PBS KIDS is gearing up to start showing a new one-hour Odd Squad movie titled Odd Squad: World Turned Odd on January 15. The TV film is based on the Emmy-winning series produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment and The Fred Rogers Company. In Odd Squad: World Turned Odd, agents Oona, Olympia and Otis accidentally change the past and undo every case they’ve ever solved. UK distributor CAKE has signed a number of deals for seasons one and two of Wind Dancer Films’ Ready Jet Go! The new broadcast partnerships for season one include BT and Virgin Media in the UK and WeKids in Asia. Meanwhile, ABC (Australia), BBC Kids and Knowledge Network (Canada), YLE (Finland), NRK (Norway), SIC Television (Portugal) and MBC (the Middle East) have acquired season two. Italian broadcaster Rai pockets two initial seasons of Millimages’ Molang

  Italian broadcaster Rai has picked up the first two seasons of Millimages’ Molang that will premiere on December 17. The series will air daily on Rai Yoyo from Monday to Sunday with four episodes scheduled in the morning and the other four in the afternoon. Rai Com, the broadcaster’s licensing arm, will serve as the exclusive agent for Molang in Italy. The 104 x 3.5-minute series follows a joyful rabbit and his best friend Piu Piu as they go through everyday life. It is produced by Millimages for Canal+ in France and TVC Spain. Launched in 2015, the dialogue-free series currently airs on Tele Quebec (Canada), Disney (Latin America), MTV Oy (Finland) and NRK (Norway). Recently, e-commerce giant Alibaba picked up exclusive licensing rights of Molang goods in Mainland China.

In the run up to Christmas, season 1 of Masha and the Bear, the hit 3D family show from Animaccord will hit UK screens courtesy of Sony Pictures Television Networks’ pre-school channel Tiny Pop. This was revealed by Ink Global. The eagerly awaited season will debut on December 11 and show each weekday at 07.00 am and 17.00 pm repectively   On weekends, the show will air at 07.00, 11.30 and 17.30 from December 16. Arizona-based kids and family SVOD, Kidstream has been launched on Amazon Channels. The service that launched on Comcast’s Xfinity on demand platform earlier this year is now available to subscribers of Amazon Prime for US$4.99 per month. Ad-free Kidstream can be accessed online and on mobile devices for subscribers at the Amazon channels site.  Kidstream plans to add more fare aimed at two- to nine-year-olds to its library on a monthly basis. French studio Xilam Animation, known for the sleeper hit Oggy and the Cockroaches, has recently secured a number of new deals across the Asian region ahead of the Asia Television Forum (ATF). The first batch of the new deals covers pre-sales for the new animated series Mr Magoo; in 2018, Cartoon Network Asia will be airing the 78 x 7 minute series in Southeast Asia, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, India and Indian subcontinent, and New Zealand.
