Given the regular cyber-attacks and security breaches, studios dealing with visual effects and post production have to go through a lot of stress and strain. Hackers demand ransom from Disney or would release an unreleased movie

Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger has revealed that hackers claiming to have access to a Disney movie have threatened to release it unless the studio paid a ransom. He however did not disclose the name of the film. But he sternly said that Disney has turned a deaf ear to this call. The studio is now working with federal investigators. Iger was speaking to ABC employees in New York City, it is reported. Admirers of Beauty and the Beast will be pretty excited with this news that the mouse house will release the film on Digital HD, Disney Movies Anywhere and On Demand and on home video (Blu-ray, DVD) on June 6. Home viewers will not only get to see the classic box-office record-breaking movie, but also more than 10 minutes of deleted scenes and lots of backstage insights through special features. Directed by Bill Condon from a screenplay by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos, Beauty and the Beast stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as The Beast, among others. At last, the final chapter of the Jedi trilogy is on its way. Disney has revealed the release date for Star Wars: Episode 9. It will hit cinemas on 24 May, 2019. While it had become a tradition t6o release a Star Wars film at the end of the year, Star Wars:  Episode 9 comes as a pleasant surprise. Canadian Animation studio Squeeze has shopped its shortform animated series Cracké to Viacom18 in India, which will put it out on the local Nickelodeon channel and the Voot streaming service. The deal brings the show’s reach to 185 countries, and follows a recent launch in EMEA. Nina Elavia Jaipuria, head of kids entertainment at Viacom18, said: “Kids in India love comedy and Cracké, with its short duration format, unique animation style and adorable characterisation, is sure to provide them with an immersive experience.” Denis Doré, Squeeze’s president and co-founder added: “It’s very rewarding to realise that Cracké will make kids laugh around the world on a renowned and leading TV network such as Nickelodeon.” The 52 x one-minute show follows an anxious ostrich dad and his eight r
