Thanks to Vision Films, Anima Estudio’s CG animated horror comedy feature, Monster Island has been released on DVD and VOD. The Monster Island focuses on a young boy named Lucas who accidentally finds out that he’s not exactly human, and hence he journeys to the mysterious Monster Island in order to find out who he really is and what his destiny points to. At Monster Island, Lucas meets his grandmother and another young monster that eventually becomes his friend. Re-mastered 4K edition of Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner on Blu-Ray to be out in September

Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner will celebrate its 35th anniversary this year with the arrival of Denis Villeneuve’s sequel Blade Runner 2049 this Fall . But, just before the film’s theatrical release, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has made its plans clear  to release a re-mastered 4K edition of the film, specially the 2007 The Final Cu’ which both Scott and Villeneuve have deemed the definitive version of the film. “Blade Runner: The Final Cut” 4K Blu-ray hits stores on September 5th, a month before Blade Runner 2049 opens on October 6th.

Having started production of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in February, director J.A. Bayona has wrapped up the shooting of the film. But those were hoping to see footage of the film at San Diego Comic-Con will be disappointed as it has now been revealed that Universal Pictures isn’t going to this year’s convention. It has also been disclosed that Jurassic star Chris Pratt now has a month or so off before he will go back to Pinewood Studios in Atlanta to film the fourth Avengers film which goes into production by the end of this month. In the first installment of Avatar in 2009, cinema exhibition embraced the modern take on 3D technology. That is when we first started wearing 3D glasses while viewing 3D movies. And, with the upcoming sequels of avatar starting in 2020, the exhibition sector might embrace the next logical step – glasses-free 3D. It has been reported that Lightstorm Entertainment is set to partner with Christie Digital that is known to manufacture a new RGB laser projection system with both companies working towards making the four Avatar sequels available in glasses-free 3D. This new projection system has been described as ‘pure laser’ and can use 60,000 lumens to provide bright images at incredibly high frame rates. Whether they can deliver glasses-free 3D though is a matter to guess.  ...
