Riding high on the success of the Bahubali franchise, India’s leading entertainment channel Colors has acquired the broadcast satellite rights of an animated series spin-off named Bahubali: The Lost Legends that was initially launched digitally on Amazon Prime Video. This goes to show that the highest grossing film ever in the history of Indian cinema is now set to make its television debut as an animated series. This isn’t the first time that an animated series will be seen on a Hindi GEC channel. Rovio and Columbia Pictures have come out with the official release date of the sequel to The Angry Birds Movie, titled The Angry Birds Movie 2. Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger has revealed that hackers claiming to have access to a Disney movie have threatened to release it unless the studio paid a ransom. He however did not disclose the name of the film. But he sternly said that Disney has turned a deaf ear to this call. The studio is now working with federal investigators. Iger was speaking to ABC employees in New York City, it is reported. With Bahubali 2 –The Conclusion, director S S Rajamouli has successfully brought to life the Mahishmati kingdom in the minds of the movie-going audience. For that, he used as many as 33 VFX studios worldwide to deliver this magnificent piece of art. The studios worked for about 15 months on the post-production of the concluding part.
