California-based toy manufacturer Funrise has entered into a multi-year partnership to serve as global master toy partner for Paramount Pictures’ animated feature film Amusement Park. Funrise will create a line that includes figures, play sets, plush, role-play and collectibles. Amusement Park is slated for a March 2019 release in the US and Funrise’s products are set to roll out globally early next year. Funko has teamed up with candy dispenser company PEZ to create a line of dispensers featuring the toy company’s Pop! art style. Featuring Pop! heads on varying dispensers, the line will be available in the US and Canada in the first half of 2018. It will be sold by Funko with PEZ serving as the licensee. The dispensers will be sold in a collector window box meant for display and the characters will be announced in the coming months. Following a deal between Alibaba Entertainment Licensing and the French animation studio Molang, Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba is taking Millimages’ Molang IP further into China. Besides, serving as the exclusive agent for online and offline sales of Molang goods in Mainland China, Alibaba will become the brand’s non-exclusive agent in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao. Marking the first European IP for Alibaba Entertainment Licensing, Molang has more than 150 global licensees including master toy partner Jazwares in North America and TOMY in Europe and Australia.
