Entertainment One (eOne) today unveils plans for the retail launch of its global entertainment preschool property Peppa Pig in India, as the show begins to attract a new international audience. The award-winning TV series made a strong broadcast debut in the country in June 2016 on VOOT Kids, the VoD destination by Viacom18 for kids’ content in India. Peppa Pig has also just made its debut on Nickelodeon preschool Channel Nick Jr. India where it began to air on January 9th 2017. The show is produced by CJ E&M, in association with DHX Media, which handles television sales in the US, Canada & EMEA (excluding France); and China Entertainment, which handles television sales and L&M business in China. Luxury fashion company, Coach, has debuted its latest clothing and accessories collection inspired by the cartoon character, Felix the Cat. The brand’s licensing agent, CPLG, brokered the deal with Coach, which features a line of handbags, t-shirts and jewellery all featuring the classic cat. Dubbed, Coach X Felix The Cat, prices for the collection start from £115 and reach up to £850 for Coach’s signature Rogue handbag. Budding Felix fans can purchase each of the items online now and in store, as well as various retailers including Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus.

Animation series ‘Naruto’ and ‘One-Punch Man’ will expand with action figures and collectibles. Viz Media has signed on a number of licensees to further extend the consumer products program for its animated series “Naruto Shippuden” and “One-Punch Man.” New partners for “Naruto” include McFarlane Toys for action figures; Zag Toys for 2.5-inch collectible figures; and CTC Food International for instant ramen, Ramune soft drinks and do-it-yourself candies. The new “Naruto” products are scheduled to be released next year. Meanwhile, new licensees for “One-Punch Man” include Funko and ThreeZero. Price points range from $5.00 for socks, $16.95 for bodysuits, $24.95 for graphic tees, $39.95 for dresses, $44.95 for sweaters and $59.95 for jackets. Mattel inks licensing deal with FlyFrog Kids for Barbie Furniture

Mattel and Delhi-based Fly Frog Kids have signed licensing agreement to launch kid’s  furniture and room accessories in India Under the agreement, FlyFrog will roll out Barbie- and Hot Wheels-branded furniture and room accessories in India. The co-founders refused to comment on investments, but said they will look to raise funds in the next 6-8 months. FlyFrog already sells kids furniture and décor products through the online channel under its own brand. It also offers customised design solutions across 13 cities for kids’ rooms.
