Coco wins best animated feature award at Critics’ Choice Awards

The 23rd annual Critics’ Choice Awards was held on January 11 in Santa Monica, California.

Disney-Pixar’s Coco took away the animated feature and best song prizes at the awards function.

The tune Remember Me from Coco edged out songs from four live-action movies to earn the film its second prize of the night.

In other feature categories, Wr for the Planet of the Apes won the prize for best visual effects and Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman was named best action movie.

On the television front, Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty was named the best animated series.
