Set to launch in the spring, the line will include novelty plush hats, plush backpacks, key chains, doorstops and ceramics such as travel mugs and coasters.
The partnership will be supported by new marketing initiatives including an increased digital and social media presence, promotional events and a new style guide.
The new Bagpuss style guide will feature classic artwork from creator Peter Firmin with vintage styling designed to appeal to original fans of the show now 35- to 55-years-old. It also includes new contemporary images to attract a younger audience.
Bagpuss is also going digital with a new game app from Daredevil Development for both iOS and Android devices. The app feature 16 games as well as animation and sounds from the original series.
