Going by the great response the serialized comedy series Andi Mack has been garnering, Disney Channel has called for a second season. The series made its US digital premiere in March before hitting linear TV on April 7.
The show, that follows the life of 13-year-old Andi and her overprotective parents, has garnered roughly 40 million views across seven digital platforms, linear TV and social media.
Horizon Productions will begin filming season two in July in Salt Lake City. It is executively produced by Terri Minsky and Michelle Manning. Phil Baker is the co-executive producer.
Interestingly, Andi Mack has several upcoming programming events to encourage more viewers, including back-to-back episodes on May 26.
