Effective January 1, 2018, Disney International has promoted Rebecca Campbell as president of The Walt Disney Company, EMEA.
Her role in the organisation has been promoted from her current role where she was president of ABC Owned Television Station Group and ABC Daytime.
A 20-year veteran of the Disney/ABC Television Group, Campbell was responsible for eight local TV stations and their digital assets in key markets like New York, L.A., Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Raleigh-Durham and Fresno. She also oversaw ABC national TV sales and ABC Daytime.
Earlier, Campbell led local television stations in Pennsylvania and New York including the top-rated station in the largest US market, WABC-TV.
She also served as president and general manager of WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, the highest-rated station in the city of brotherly love.
On the other hand, Diego Lerner, the current chief of Disney EMEA, has been transferred to Buenos Aires, Argentina as a part of the Disney International management team that reports to chairman Andy Bird.
All these days, Lerner has been serving as Disney EMEA president since 2009 where he oversaw all Disney operations in the region excluding ESPN and Disneyland Resort Paris.
