American Animation Giant – Dream Works has expressed its desire to work in tandem with the State Government of Telangana with an eye on expanding its alms across corners of the country.

Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of Dream Works has explained his company’s stance to expand its operations throughout India, in the official meet with IT Minister KT Rama Rao in Los Angeles.KTR Tweet

Press release from the Telangana Secretariat says, “DreamWorks is looking for expanding their production facilities in India and sought partnership with Telangana government for their long term plans. KTR expressed the government’s willingness to extend full support and cooperation in their endeavor.”

“The minister described the attributes of upcoming film city in Hyderabad which would be an ideal location for the future production facility of DreamWorks,” the release said.

Dream Works is also aiming at creating high-end theatre ecosystem to put forward their movies in India and has asked the State Government to create a favorable environment.

“DreamWorks has plans to cater to Indian market and believe that Hyderabad is ideal location, given its talent pool and vibrant film industry,” the press release said quoting KTR.

Dream Works and Telangana Government, together have agreed to collaborate to create Dreamplay, a small scale theme center that can become a tourist spot for Hyderabad.

Rama Rao invited Jeffrey Katzenberg to visit Hyderabad during the meet.
