Halle Stanford, a longtime executive of the The Jim Henson Company, has been promoted to the post of president of television. With this, she adds new primetime development and production duties to her current duty of overseeing the slate of Henson’s kids as EVP of children’s entertainment.
She will also be focused on a new deal between Henson and United Talent Agency (UTA) that encompasses building partnerships, expanding the company’s talent base and growing its primetime slate of productions. The deal is also designed to expand VR, gaming and digital initiatives for Henson.
She is currently executive producer of upcoming Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and eight additional Henson series, including Word Party, Julie’s Greenroom, Dot., Dinosaur Train, Sid the Science Kid and Splash and Bubbles.
With Henson since 1993, Halle had earlier been nominated for nine Emmys as a children’s TV producer.
