Hasbro Studios has made open its 2018-2019 production slate and there one can find that there are a bunch of exciting new reveals.
Existing favourites are getting a new coat of paint and there’s even something totally new.
Let’s see what these are:
They are the eighth season of My Little Pony: Friendship that will feature 26 new episodes. Secondly, My Little Pony: Equestria Girls will have two new 44-minute TV specials and lastly the second season of Hanazuki: Full of Treasures which will include 16 new episodes.
Now, lest go on to a slate of new shows starting off with the adorable world of Littlest Pet Shop. Though it was earlier announced that there would be an all-new series from Hasbro’s Boulder Media studio, but it appears the show has undergone a name change and will now be known as Littlest Pet Shop: A World of Our Own:
Welcome to the land of Paw-Tucket!
A pet-only world made by pets, for pets. If you’re a pet (and a really good one) you can gain access via a magical portal that opens in the human world and lets you pass through to the town center of Paw-Tucket. Come hang with Trip, Quincy, Jade, Roxie, Edie and Bev at the cozy corner of the Littlest Pet Shop and watch them get into all kinds of fun, throw parties, discover new friendships, and explore all that Paw-Tucket has to offer!
The new series will consist of fifty-two 11 minute episodes and will air on Discovery Family in the United States in spring 2018. To get a taste of what you can expect, check out the web-series that launched last fall.
Importantly, Hasbro had already announced two new animated series of Transformers. Now, we know just a little bit more about the series.
Transformers: Cyberverse is due out sometime in 2018 through unspecified platforms. The show’s first season will consist of eighteen 11 minute episodes. An earlier promo image hinted that Optimus Prime might still have a role in this series.
A group of young Bots fresh from Cybertron (Hot Shot, Whirl, Medix, Hoist and Wedge), have the honour of being the first-ever class to enroll in Earth’s Rescue Bot Training Academy and learn how to become Earth heroes through hands-on experience.
Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy will launch in 2019 on unspecified platforms. The first season will consist of fifty-two 11 minute episodes.
Lastly, there are two previously unheard of shows: one an original pre-school property and secondly the revival of a classic.
Welcome to the world of Chomp Squad, where dinosaurs never went extinct! Despite their considerable size difference, these dinos fit right in, happily working alongside humans in a mystical urban jungle called Chomp City.
Most of the time things run smoothly here, but when there’s an emergency, nothing can match the power, brains, or bravery of the Chomp Squad: a heroic team of dinosaurs and humans who handle the fire, police, medical and emergency needs of Chomp City. Utilizing special skills, tricked-out gear, and most importantly true teamwork, this elite squad of heroes will chomp, stomp, and save the day.
Chomp Squad will launch sometime in 2018 on unspecified platforms. The first season will contain twenty-five 5 minute episodes, which may imply this is a web-series.
When fate brings an unlikely team of alien space explorers to earth in pursuit of the evil Baron Karza, they make a shocking discovery on our world they are the size of action figures! The Micronauts are small heroes in a big world but the stakes are higher than ever as their miniaturized size presents dangerous obstacles at every turn. Fortunately, they forge an alliance with teenager Cameron Ruck, who will join them in their pursuit of justice. Although the Micronauts are small in stature, their bravery and adventurous spirits remain larger than life.
Micronauts is set to debut in 2019. The Boulder Media animated reboot of the 1976-1980 reboot is being given a healthy twenty-six 22 minute episode order.
So, now you just have to pick which of Hasbro Studios’ upcoming slate excites you the most?
