The teaser of the final season of Game of Thrones has just released by HBO and it promises more than what you expected.

The teaser plays on the title of George RR Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire. The 54-second-long teaser is all about the chaos that’s going to consume everything in the final season.

Check it out here:

The suspense is intense as a wave of icy wind clashes with fire. The icy wind engulfs a wolf and a dragon map marker – sigils of the Starks and the Targaryens, while fire engulfs the lion map marker – sigil of the Lannisters.

Earlier, HBO shared a teaser video on its various social media platforms to make the announcement. The clip was a compilation of some of the important events from the story so far and there was no new addition from season 8.

A premiere date has yet to be announced, but the series will return in 2019. The show will feature six episodes, which are reported to each be feature-length.

Game of Thrones is one of the most successful television series of all time and has broken records for US cable network HBO. A prequel to the series, Age of Heroes, is already in production.
