Imira Entertainment signs a raft of deals with broadcasters

Imira Entertainment, the Spain-based distribution company has signed a number of deals with broadcasters like Netflix, Super RTL, Discovery and Ion Media Entertainment.

Netflix has picked up Bat Pat for Latin America, excluding Brazil and Spain. The series has been produced by Imira with Atlantyca Entertainment, Rai, TVE and Mondo TV.

Germany’s Super RTL has taken picked up season two of Lucky Fred that is currently in production with Imira, Telegael and Toonz Media Group.

Telecom Italy has picked up Tuba’s first three seasons of Larva for its channel Tim while Telefonica has snapped up five titles including Sandra the Fairytale Detective, Lucky Fred, two seasons of Little Princess, Street Football and Lola & Virginia for its platforms in Peru and Ecuador.

Meanwhile, Brazil’s Globosat has picked up Lil Critter Workshops’ pre-school series Hogie the Globehopper and Showlab’s YoYo.

And the leading SVOD platform in Chile, VTR has picked up six Imira titles: The Happets, Power Battle Watch-Card, Pororo, Miniforce, Vroomiz and Tickety Toc.

Discovery also got in on the action, picking up Toonz and Exodus Film Group’s animated movie Bunyan & Babe. Lastly, US Ion Media Entertainment grabbed Sandra the Fairytale Detective.

Imira is also planning to launch a new slate of shows at MIPCOM in France this month including the non-dialogue comedies Zelly Go from Dream Factory Studio and Giggle Garage’s Cam & Leon.

The distributor will also be acquiring Badanamu Cadets from Calm Island, based on the YouTube property first created in 2011.
