The Los Angeles-based agency will represent Return of the Dodger, a project with a new twist on the story of Oliver Twist and the Artful Dodger, for television co-production and distribution, licensing, merchandising and publishing
Lawless Entertainment is delighted to announce their appointment as worldwide representatives for Return of the Dodger a project that tells the unknown story of Oliver Twist and the Artful Dodger in1890’s London. Lawless will handle television co-production and distribution, licensing, merchandising, and publishing.
Jack Dawkins was only 12 when a London judge deported him to Australia. Nicknamed the Artful Dodger, he was the top pickpocket in Fagin’s gang of child thieves. In the space of a single year, Dodger and his friend Oliver Twist stole a fortune for old Fagin. But that was long ago. Today, the Dodger is over 40. And he’s back in London.
Follow the artful one and his beautiful daughter (yes, he has a daughter now) as they take Victorian London by storm — in search of Fagin’s treasure.
See them finagle their way into high society. Watch them dodge enemies, avoid traps, and rediscover Oliver Twist himself.
It’s the adventure of a lifetime — with gold at the end of the rainbow.
Lawless Entertainment is seeking co-production partners for the Return of the Dodger project.
“The Artful Dodger is one of the best-loved characters in all of literature. So far, we have known him only as a kid. Well, now he’s a grown man. And he’s back in London — on a mission of survival,” says David Wickes, Producer of Cartland.
“We are honored to work with David Wickes and The Wickes Company on this project,” says Cathy Malatesta, President of Lawless Entertainment. “Return of the Dodger will prove to be yet another success of the Wickes Company.”
