Not yet done with its expansion all over the world, the Russian CG sleeper hit Masha and the Bear is already enjoying airtime on Corus Entertainment’s pre-school network Treehouse (Canada) while Turner is airing the first two seasons in Latin America via Cartoon Network.
The episodes comprising season 3 has also been ordered. INK Group also signed deals with RAI and De Agostini in Italy for the 3rd season as well as the 2D animated spin-off series Masha’s Spooky Stories.
In France, Spooky Stories has been picked up by Canal Plus while France TV ordered season 3 of the main series. Puls TV in Poland also opted for Spooky Stories. And Clan TV in Spain has started airing seasons 1 and 2 this summer.
Season 3 sales have been secured with other major European channels, to be announced later.
India is also getting in on the action, with Viacom18 Media channels already airing the first two seasons of the main series and Masha’s Spooky Stories.
On the other hand, New Zealand’s TVNZ is offering the first season on its Kidzone On Demand platform, with a debut on free TV channel TVNZ 2 scheduled for September.
