Global publisher Parragon Books has partnered with Platinum Films to publish a range of activity formats for the TV series “Matt Hatter Chronicles” in Australia, the U.K. and South Africa.

Parragon will create a range of Matt Hatter activity titles that will include sticker and activity books, coloring books and picture storybooks featuring 3D technology.

“Parragon are perfect partners to enhance the first-class offering of publishing products available to young Hatter fans,” says Nigel Stone, chief executive officer, Platinum Films. “I’ve been impressed by their creative and commercial approach, excellent product quality and unique distribution model, and we look forward to working with them over the coming months on the Matt Hatter activity book range.”

Parragon joins a growing lineup of global licensees for the brand and complements Penguin Books’ novelization program in English-speaking territories worldwide, which launched last August with the first two titles in a series of graphic novels.

“Nigel Stone and I had an initial meeting at the Licensing Show in Vegas last year and it was clear to me that Matt Hatter was a special character and one that will stand out in a crowded license market,” says Paul Gregory, chief operating officer, Parragon Books. “I am confident that Parragon’s unique and exciting formats will complement the character, excite the consumer and help establish Matt Hatter as an evergreen franchise.”
