NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment relaunches its kid-centric network Sprout

Of late, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment re-launched its kid-centric network Sprout under the new brand Universal Kids.

And as part of the re-brand’s launch lineup, a lot of acquisitions from DreamWorks Animation Television will be offered along with other proven hits of both the animated and live-action varieties.

The re-brand aims to expand the network’s target audience to kids aged up to 12, when it previously catered exclusively to preschoolers.

The animated offerings that are part of the launch lineup are:

All Hail King Julien that premieres on September 10 at 8 p.m. This animated series serves as a prequel to the original Madagascar movie franchise.

The Deep that premieres on Septembe 11 at 7:30 p.m.is

Dragons: Riders of Berk  that premieres on September 10 at 7 p.m.follows Hiccup, Toothless and the rest of the Viking teens as they balance the new cohabitation of Dragons and Vikings while helping the residents of Berk overcome their fears.

With far more dragons than they ever imagined, the newly installed Dragon Training Academy will be put to the test and only teamwork can save the day!

 Masha and the Bear that premieres on September 11 at 6 p.m. is the tale of lively little Masha who lives near the forest where she has many adventures with her best friend, a bear who used to be in the circus.

With kindness and comedy in its heart, the show follows the adventures of Masha and The Bear.
