Augmented reality and artificial intelligence company Osmo has bolstered its executive team by hiring Blake Hennon as VP, distribution.
As part of Hennon’s new remit, he will lead the streamlining packaging and inventory control for Osmo’s retail partners including Best Buy, Target, Amazon and Apple stores.
Earlier, Hennon had led North American sales for Anki, the company behind Cozmo, a small robot that can play games with kids and also connects to an iOS or Android app. The company also created robot toy cars.
He has also held marketing and sales posts at Activision Blizzard and Warner Bros.
Hennon joins other recent Osmo hires like creative director Anne Lyon Johnston and Osmo COO Srikanth Rajaopalan who was earlier director of Google machine intelligence.
Osmo recently received US$24 million in funding from Mattel, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Collab+Sesame and Shea Ventures. (Existing investors include Accel, Upfront Ventures and K9 Ventures.)
