Paddington begins 2015 in spectacular style with two BAFTA nominations -‘Best British Film and ‘Best Adapted Screenplay’. The movie has now crossed the $100m+ worldwide box office milestone and has ticketed 15m total admissions.
In the Outstanding British Film category, Paddington is up against 71, The Imitation Game, Pride, The Theory of Everything and Under the Skin, while also in the running for the Adapted Screenplay award is American Sniper, Gone Girl, The Imitation Game and The Theory of Everything.
In fact, Paddington is now the first ever English language, non-US studio family title to achieve this fantastic $100m figure!
The EE BAFTAs 2015, hosted by Stephen Fry, will take place on Sunday, February 8th at the Royal Opera House, London.
