Peter Rabbit and Octonauts selected for Emmy awards

Emmy

3D CGI TV series for pre-schoolers, Peter Rabbit has been shortlisted under three award categories in the Daytime Emmy awards: namely outstanding direction in a pre-school animated programme, outstanding sound mixing and outstanding writing in a pre-school animated programme.

Meanwhile, Octonauts has been shortlisted under two categories: outstanding writing in a pre-school animated programme and outstanding special class animated programme.

Developed by the international TV production and licensing company, Silvergate Media, the two properties have achieved success among pre-school and family audiences.

Kurt Mueller, executive producer of Octonauts, said, “Octonauts is made for anyone with a curious mind, a love of nature and a soft spot for daredevil cats. 125 episodes in, we are beyond thrilled for the recognition the show has received.”

Paula Rosenthal, executive producer of Peter Rabbit, added, “We are thrilled with and grateful for the ongoing recognition of Peter Rabbit. This year Peter Rabbit turns 124. It’s humbling to think the success of our show is helping to keep Beatrix Potter’s classic tale relevant to a new generation.”
