Games developer Daredevil Development in association with Boiled Frog Gaming and licensor The Copyrights Group, have announced the launch of the first-ever Paddington Bear game app for Android devices including the Kindle Fire in a partnership brokered by digital agency Peahen Games. It’s called Paddington Bear’s Adventures and joins the iOS version which has also been updated.
Aimed at children aged four to six, the new game app, offering loads of fun themed around the much-loved bear, his favourite things and the sights of London, is available now from the Apple App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and from the Google Play and Amazon Kindle stores for Android devices. All versions are priced at £1.99, and will be available worldwide in English.
Players can join in the fun with Paddington in six games, including: a jigsaw style game and a spot the difference sightseeing game, both featuring well-known locations in London; a tidy-up game with Paddington’s famous suitcase; a shape-matching game; a dressing-up game; and, of course, a marmalade-making game. A virtual sticker book, a choice of backgrounds and a scrapbook feature add to the fun. The iOS edition comes with a bonus: users can create, edit and save pictures of Paddington and friends sightseeing in London.
An easy to pick up and play interface makes Paddington Bear’s Adventures perfect for little hands and three levels of difficulty allow various ages to enjoy the progressive gameplay. The beautiful graphics and animation feature Paddington and his friends the Brown family, accompanied by a new recording of the music by Herbert Chappell from the original TV series.
The Paddington Bear’s Adventures game contains no in-app purchases or data collection. In addition, parental gates exist to prevent inadvertent web access by the child when playing.

The original Paddington books published by Harper Collins, and numerous other print adaptations have to date sold tens of millions of copies worldwide. A number of television adaptations have been produced. The award-winning 1975 BBC series reappeared on DVD in 2011. A global licensing campaign is in place, boasting numerous big-name partners. A movie version, with Paddington voiced by Ben Wishaw, is to be released in late November.
