The Christmas special of the popular kids’ series Pocoyo is now available exclusively to customers of Amazon Prime Video through the Amazon Video Direct self-distribution service. The series, produced by Spain’s Zinkia, is featured among the streaming platform’s Kids & Family content selection.
In the Christmas special, Pocoyo and his fun-loving friends enjoy a cheerful festive season full of giggles and crazy adventures. In the 17-minute episode, Pocoyo and his friend Pato discover the importance of forgiving their friends not losing theirr tempers.
The characters play out their story based on the plot of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol, which tells the tale of a miserly, selfish man, Ebenezer Scrooge, who changes his ways after a Christmas Eve visit from the Ghosts of Christmas Past and Christmas Yet-to-Come.
This special episode is in addition to the Pocoyo content catalogue already available for viewing through the service. In more than ten years since its launch, the series has garnered over 30 audio visual industry awards.
These accolades include the Annecy Cristal and a British Academy BAFTA, both for best animated series. It also received three Pulcinella Awards at Italy’s Cartoons on the Bay festival and the Parents’ Choice Award in the US.
