The experience will see children creating their own Pokémon animation using stop motion animation software at the bespoke Pokémon Animation Studio.
During their visit, children will learn about the fundamentals of animation within a real life studio setting. They will also be able to select a number of Tomy Pokémon figurines and other props to produce their celluloid masterpieces.
The Pokémon Company International is working with long-term master toy partner Tomy to provide the Pokémon action figures of favourite characters, which kids will use as the stars of their stop motion animation movies.
Tomy will also be providing the latest Pokémon toys from its 2015 range for KidZania’s Redemption Store. The special store sits within the KidZania City and enables children to purchase items with currency earned through participating in activities such as the Pokémon Animation Studio.
“Pokémon is an icon in the children’s entertainment space and we expect the Pokémon Animation Studio to be a very popular experience within KidZania London,” said Joel Cadbury, chairman of KidZania London.
Anthony Cornish, consumer marketing director at The Pokémon Company International, added: “We are delighted to partner with KidZania London to create this unique Pokémon Animation Studio. The studio will allow children the opportunity to have fun whilst learning about animation and how to create their very own movie using stop motion animation.
“We intend to make the partnership a success by supporting our activity with a B2B and B2C PR and social media strategy.”
