After bagging the coveted Filmfare award recently, the Redchillies VFX team has added yet another feather to its hat. The studio was awarded the FICCI BAF Award for ‘Best VFX’ in the Indian Film Category for ‘FAN’.
Earlier, the team won many hearts for its work in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer FAN which released in 2016.
Accepting the award, Redchillies VFX chief operating officer Keitan Yadav said, “I take this opportunity to thank the FICCI FRAMES BAF Awards Jury and the fabulous team back at Redchillies VFX. Over 300 in-house VFX artists contributed towards the movie for nearly 15 months and ensured the movie was delivered. And finally I would like to once again thank FICCI for the appreciation and recognition.”
The Best Animated Frames [BAF] Awards was launched in 2004 by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry [FICCI] to recognize and honour students and professionals in the field of Animation. This first ever Animation awards in India grew over the years to encompass awards not only in Animation, but also in the VFX and Gaming fields. The contest now receives top-notch entries from across the globe.
