After BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi t-shirts, mugs and caps, the Ahmedabad based Modi fan Club has also released an animation film on him. The film called ‘Nation In Motion -NAMO’ played to a specially composed song, portraying Modi in a Superman-like avatar setting things right and bringing prosperity to all.
One of the Modi fans Janki said, “What he says, he does. That’s why we’re so big fans. His fan following was huge while he was a bachelor. We’re slightly disappointed now as he’s declared he is married.”
Another Modi fan Urvi Chauhan said, “Modi has changed Gujarat so much and we want him to do the same for the country as well.” The miniatures of Modi are actually handcrafted USB drives that contain selected speeches of the Gujarat Chief Minister and also on display are 112 books written in several languages on Modi. There is a coffee book that contains photographs and quotes from Modi.
Narendra Modi fan club President Rajeev Chhajer said, “The main aim was to display books written on Modi. We have put together 112 books on him today. He has not become PM yet, still there are 112 books.”
The Modi fan club insists it is a non-political organisation comprising of just Modi fans. But in an election season, the group clearly is doing its bit in the high voltage campaign to project Modi as India’s next prime minister.
