Adult Swim and Fathom Events are preparing themselves to bring Samurai Jack to the theaters in the U.S. for an exclusive one-night event. The screening set to take place on October 16 will present the fully-remastered premiere movie from the first season. In addition to a high-definition restoration of these early episodes, the screening will include a video commentary by creator Genndy Tartakovsky on the beginning of Samurai Jack and what the show means to him. Ticket sales will start in mid-September.

Adult Swim is on its way to Austin, Texas to premiere two episodes of its upcoming series Apollo Gauntlet at the Rooster Teeth Animation Festival. Set for screening from July 6 to 9 at the Austin Convention Center, Adult Swim will screen more than an hour of sneak peeks of the new animation series during a special screening entitled Adult Swim Presents followed by a Q&A with the creators of Apollo Gauntlet and Squidbillies. Samurai Jack’s fifth season will premiere on Adult Swim on March 11, the network confirmed. During a promotional bump for Adult Swim, a fan asked what was going on with the show. In response, the network responded with the date and air time — March 11 at 11:30 p.m. ET. Samurai Jack originally ran for four seasons on Cartoon Network from 2001 to 2004, and chronicled the tale of a time-displaced samurai prince’s battle against demonic, shape-shifting warlord Aku.
