After Marvel enthralled the audiences with ‘Captain Marvel’ trailer, YouTuber Darth Blender created the animated tribute, using footage of Captain Marvel's appearances in various animated series based on Marvel Comics. India’s first crowdsourced Sanskrit animated film Punyakoti directed by Bengaluru-based HR consultant Ravi Shanker released in July. The 90-minute film is based on a popular folk song from South India. According to media reports, thirty-five animators from across the world worked on the movie with an aim to revive the ancient language, especially among the younger generation. The film will be screened at film festival followed by its release on digital channels, theatre and then, television. Bangalore based animation studio Phanimations is producing a 2D animated feature based on the life of Sri Adi Shankaracharya. According to a report in the Animation Xpress, the project has been commissioned by Sri Dakshinamnaya Sharada Peetham, Sringeri. The feature film is of 80-minute which comprises of three songs as well as five stotras of Sri Adi Shankaracharya. The direction and the screenplay have been done by Phani Prasanna Kumar, music by A. Ramachandra Rao and dialogues and Lyrics have been written by Lakshmi.
