9 Story Media announced that it has secured a number of deals across Asia for its popular kids and family content. Over 800 episodes have been licensed to broadcasters and content partners across the territory, with agreements spanning India, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan. New Series like Nature Cat, Guess How Much I Love You – The Adventures of Little Nutbrown Hare along with library programs like Barney and Angelina Ballerina have been sold. Discovery Kids India has picked up the first season of the popular animated series Nature Cat. Singapore based Mediacorp acquired various seasons of several series including Peg + Cat, Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood, Guess How Much I Love You – The Adventures of Little Nutbrown Hare, Wild Kratts and Nature Cat. Toonami picks up ‘YO-KAI WATCH’ in Asia

Hit Japanese anime series to debut on June 27 on Turner’s Toonami channel YO-KAI WATCH, the No. 1-rating cartoon sensation from Japanese creators Dentsu, will makes its debut across South and Southeast on Toonami later this month. The kids network has snapped up 65 half-hour episodes and will be available on an exclusive basis in almost all countries around the region. (more…)

Disney Asia Picks Up New Season of ‘Camp Lakebottom’

 9 Story Media Group announced that it has licensed an additional 26 x 22’ episodes of the animated comedy series Camp Lakebottom to Disney Channels Asia, which includes Southeast Asia, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The second season was also picked up by several other Disney territories including the U.S., the U.K., CEEMA, India, Japan and Latin America. Camp Lakebottom premiered on both TELETOON Canada and Disney XD (U.S.) in July 2013. DreamWorks Animation Launches DreamWorks TV Channel in Asia

DreamWorks Animation announced on Tuesday that it plans to launch a 24/7 kids and family television channel across 19 countries in Asia. The DreamWorks channel represents the first time that the company's must-see content will be aggregated in one place, fully programmed and distributed by DreamWorks.  The channel will premiere with more original content than any other kids channel in the region. Singapore-based HBO Asia will manage affiliate sales and marketing as well as technical services for the new channel. (more…)
