
Google Doodle celebrates Sir Don Bradman’s 110th birthday
Google celebrated the 110th birth anniversary of Sir Donald Bradman on Monday with a colourful doodle.
Born on August 27, 1908, in Cootamundra, Australia, Don Bradman is widely regarded as the most prolific batsman in the history of Test cricket.
In his stellar career, Bradman made 12 Test double-hundreds with the highest score of 334 against England. In domestic cricket, Bradman scored an astonishing 28,067 runs at an average of 95.14. He also smashed 117 centuries with the highest score of 452 (not out).
Nicknamed “The Don’’, Bradman compiled runs — 6,996 in 52 Tests, at an average of 99.94 with an unerring and relentless precision that has remained unequalled.
