Consumer Products (WBCP) and DC Entertainment have announced the launch of the all-new ScoobyDoo.com, LooneyTunes.com and DCKids.com, three new entertainment destinations for kids that will engage fans with all their favorite Warner Bros. characters and DC Comics Super Heroes in a dynamic immersive experience, featuring original new content. “Now, more than ever, providing universal access to a world of content is key to engaging even our youngest fans,” said Karen McTier, Executive Vice President of Warner Bros. Garfield Gets More Apparel Partners

Paws, Inc. has signed a range of new apparel licensees in the U.S., Brazil, Australia, Canada, the Middle East and France for Garfield. The Classics and Fright Rags have joined the character's apparel program in the U.S. with Classics focusing on tops and bottoms and Fright Rags featuring a horror-inspired version of the feisty feline. The two new additions join ODM, which has a line of men’s and boys’ tees currently at Walmart, and Paws, Inc. is looking to add more apparel partners to the U.S. roster. (more…)

Netflix, Rainbow to spin off Winx Club series

Just one day after announcing a revamped Popples series, Netflix reveals that it has teamed up with Italy-based animation studio Rainbow for a new spin-off called Winx Club WOW: World of Winx. Expanding the popular Winx Club franchise with a serialized storyline designed specifically for on-demand viewing, the 13 x 22-minutes series will be available in early 2016. (more…)

Imira scores first Hulu deal

Spanish production and distribution company Imira Entertainment has inked its first deal with Hulu to stream Imira’s original series Lola & Virginia on the on-demand platform. In a deal brokered by US distributor Viva Pictures Distribution, the animated series will be available for viewing in the US and Canada. Lola & Virginia (52 x 12 minutes) is a co-production between Imira Entertainment, Millimages, France 3, Televisió de Catalunya and ETB. It is based on the original concept from Myriam Ballesteros, founding partner of Imira Entertainment with Sergi Reitg. In recent digital deals, the series launched in the US on Amazon Prime and Amazon Instant, and in Spain on Telefonica’s Movistar España VOD platforms and on Samsung Smart TVs.
