Disney’s Q2-16 shows 9.8% hike with $340 million revenue growth

Comparing to the last year’s quarter, the Walt Disney Company Inc. (Disney) reported 9.8% year-over-year (y-o-y) growth in the operating income, i.e., $3,822 million  for the second quarter ended on 2nd April, 2016 (Q2-16, current year). Disney’s ‘Frozen,’ Warner Bros.’ ‘Gravity’ and Paramount’s ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ top the list of most pirated films in 2014. Disney’s Frozen, Warner Bros.’ Gravity and Paramount’s The Wolf of Wall Street topped the list of most pirated films in 2014, according to piracy tracking firm Excipio. Following big screen successes earlier in the year, Disney’sFrozen and Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlecharacters will come to life again this Halloween as some of the year's top costumes. According to National Retail Federation's Halloween Consumer Top Costumes survey, an estimated 2.6 million children plan to dress up as one of Disney’s Frozencharacters, while about 1.8 million children will dress as one of the re-imagined classic characters from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Toys ‘R’ Us & Walmart reveals holiday season plans
