Egmont Publishing expands Masha and the Bear program

Russian CG-animated TV series Masha and the Bear has already established its popularity in its native land, and now Denmark-based Ink Brands has announced that Egmont will expand its publishing program across Europe. The adventures of Masha and her reluctant bear playmate will be introduced to the UK, Germany, Scandinavia, Turkey, CIS territories, as well Central and Eastern Europe. The product line will include story books, coloring books and a Masha and the Bear magazine. The brand already has more than 100 partners in the Russian market for products ranging from confectionery to home decor. (more…)

Animation Production Day 2014 – Business Platform for the international animation industry

Stuttgart - Last night in Stuttgart the eighth Animation Production Day, the co-production and co-financing market for German and international animation projects hosted by FMX 2014 and ITFS 2014, came to an end. On Friday around 100 participants from ten different countries discussed the 33 projects selected to take part in this year's APD. The total production value of these projects lies in the region of 100 million Euros. (more…)

ITFS 2014 | Winners Animated Com Award at Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film

Stuttgart – The best productions in the field of applied animation received their prizes in the evening of April 25, 2014 in the Mercedes-Benz Museum Stuttgart at the Animated Com Award (held at the 21st  Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film). In this competition the best applied animation in the fields of advertising, spatial communication and technology are awarded. Also the special prizes “Future needs Derivation – Individual Mobility” by the Daimler AG and the "Lapp Connected Award" by U. I. Lapp GmbH have been given. (more…)

ITFS Announces 2014 Animation Production Day Program

Stuttgart, Germany --Thirty-four animation projects from 10 countries with a total production value of around 100 million Euros have been selected to participate in this year's Animation Production Day (APD), including 14 series and 14 feature films. The APD, an event hosted by FMX 2014, Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Transmedia, and the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film 2014, is taking place on April 24 and 25 in Stuttgart's Haus der Wirtschaft and for the first time in the premises of L-Bank Stuttgart. Comic Series Diabolik Coming to TV in Germany, Italy & the UK

Sky Deutschland has announced that it will collaborate with fellow broadcasters Sky Italia and BSkyB to bring the famous Italian comic series Diabolik to television in their respective areas. Created by sisters Angela and Luciana Giussani in 1962, Diabolik is no ordinary superhero. He is a dangerous, ruthless master thief, who uses his expert skills in identity theft to literally take on the look and personality of his targets and adversaries to get what he wants. The Diabolik series has gone on to produce more than 800 issues in 50 years and still sells 400,000 copies today.  (more…)
