Nickelodeon is gearing up to premiere its newest animated mystery series Welcome to the Wayne on July 24. Created and written by Billy Lopez and executively produced by creative executive Michael Pecoriello, the 20-episode series follows three kids as they explore their fantastical apartment building aptly named the Wayne. The toon’s voice cast includes Alanna Ubach as Ansi, the anxious new kid in town; Lopez as Olly Timbers, the adventurous 10-year-old son of a toy maker and a military scientist and Dana Steingold as Saraline Timbers, Olly’s responsible and more mature little sister. Before getting the full-length treatment, Welcome to the Wayne was Nickelodeon’s first digital short-form series which debuted in 2014 as six four- to five-minute episodes on the Nick App and Nick.com.
The Disney Channel has tentatively set the US on-demand premiere date of Andi Mack, a new single-cam, live-action series by Terri Minsky, creator of Lizzie McGuire on March 10. Andi Mack features Peyton Elizabeth Lee as the 13-year-old titular character who along with her free-spirited sister, charts teen life living with overprotective parents. The action series has been produced by Horizon Productions and executively produced by Michelle Manning, Minsky and Phil Baker. Aimed for children between six- to 14-year-olds, the show will make its initial debut on the Disney Channel App, Disney.com, Disney Channel, YouTube, iTunes, Amazon and Google Play. Cartoon Network drives the digital experience with the release of MagiMobile, an app that encourages uses to build their own collection of swords Cartoon Network announced the release of MagiMobile, an app based from the Universe of Mighty Magiswords. This app will encourage the users to build their own collection of swords. Mighty Magiswords follows Prohyas and Vambre, two warriors for hire who complete quests using their collection of Magiswords that each have special abilities. In the MagiMobile app, the user’s device is designed to look like the devices owned by Prohyas, Vambre and other characters in the show. YouTube announced the launch of YouTube Kids in India, an app designed keeping children and parents in mind. The free app makes exploring videos easier for kids, and is available on Google Play and Apple App store in India starting today, the company said. YouTube Kids app has ‘larger images’ and ‘bold icons’ which makes it easier for ‘little thumbs’ to navigate through the content; along with voice search functionality. Hasbro and DeNA have released the new tactical mobile game "Transformers: Battle Tactics" inspired by the new Combiner Wars storyline and the Transfomers Generations universe. Players will collect and assemble teams of both Autobots and Decepticons that will fight side by side. The game features a single-player "campaign" mode and player-vs-player mode that allows fans to engage with gamers from around the world.
