Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today the release of the latest addition to the BABY-Gline of shock-resistant watches for women, based on the concept of Tough and Cool. The BA-120KT watch is a collaboration model with Hello Kitty, the iconic character with a worldwide following. The new BA-120KT is based on the popular BA-120 Series, known for its multiple color variations. The collaboration model features styling inspired by the graffiti art that first rose to popularity in the 1970s, when Hello Kitty was created. The dial and band are patterned with graffiti BABY-G and Hello Kitty tags, and the character's distinctive ribbon is printed on the dial. Animation studio Toonbox has appointed Maurizio Distefano Licensing to serve as the Italian licensing agent for its preschool series “Kit^n^Kate.” Maurizio Distefano Licensing will now work to secure partners across a variety of children’s categories. Clothing retailer Gap launches their first This collection includes apparel and accessories for both adults and children, including toddlers and babies. Price points range from $5.00 for socks, $16.95 for bodysuits, $24.95 for graphic tees, $39.95 for dresses, $44.95 for sweaters and $59.95 for jackets. The first collection takes inspiration from Mickey and Minnie Mouse, with a second range focusing on Dumbo set to launch December 26th. A third line will also drop throughout 2017, which will feature other popular Disney characters. These items are now available in Gap locations globally and online.

Moleskine, A company well-known for its planners, journals and notebooks, along with Sanrio launched their second wave of Hello Kitty Notebooks. The new notebooks arrive as an extension of an alliance formed in 2014. Keeping Sanrio’s philosophy “Small gift, Big Smile” in mind, the notebooks feature a special set of stickers inside and graphics that continue on the endpapers. The new launch of two pocket sized notebooks and two large ruled hardcover notebooks arrives as an extension of an alliance formed back in 2014. Disney has unveiled its first line up of consumer products based on its upcoming animated movie Moana. The studio has detailed a collection of toy lines from the likes of Hasbro, Jakks Pacific and Posh Paws, as well as published titles and puzzles. Hasbro leads the charge with the Musical Moana of Oceania, while Jakks Pacific introduces Moana’s Magical Necklace. Posh Paws adds to the lineup with its line of Kakamora Soft Toys, while Parragon Books and Ravensburger complete the initial roll out with the Moana Movie Collection Storybook and a line of puzzles. Mattel has secured the master toy license for the hit CGI-animated series ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks from Bagdasarian Productions, in collaboration with Technicolor Animation Productions. A full line of toys, including role play, music items, articulated figures, playsets, R/C vehicles, plush and feature plush, will launch through a Toys “R” Us exclusive in the US. The deal was signed by PGS Entertainment, which reps ALVINNN!!! and the Chipmunks worldwide, save France (M6). DHX Media records Q3 fiscal results driven by its digital distribution

In a period of uncertainty involving new CRTC broadcast regulations and the recent loss of its Disney license to Toronto’s Corus Entertainment, Canada’s DHX Media posted record Q3 fiscal results driven by its digital distribution business. The entertainment company generated US$71.61 million in revenues this quarter, an increase of 195% from US$24.29 million for Q3 2014. Of that 195%, distribution growth accounts for 71%, subscription revenues from last year’s purchase of the Astral Media channels (now DHX Television) makes up 70%, while proprietary production (31%), merchandising and licensing (12%), and producer and service fee revenue (9%) round out the numbers.
