Last year, Marvel announced that Oscar-winning Brie Larson  would play the leading man in their upcoming superhero film Captain Marvel. Ever since the studio has been searching for the person to direct the film. Just yesterday, the studio announced that they had found not one but two to direct the film- Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. Most recently the duo had written and directed Mississippi Grind that starred Ryan Reynolds and Ben Mendelsohn. The two also directed and wrote It’s Kind of a Funny Story that starred Emma Roberts and Zach Galifianakis and worked together on the critically-acclaimed Half Nelson that had Ryan Gosling. Spider-Man to be part of two new Avenger movies

In a deal with Sony, it has been decided that Spider-Man will be a part of the next two Avengers movies, according to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Spider-Man will appear in the Avengers: Infinity War that is slated for 4 May, next year and an untitled Avengers movie in  2019. The deal with Sony will allowed the wall-crawler to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his debut in Captain America: Civil War and his stanalone film Spider-Man: Homecoming that is set to release this year. After his appearance in the second Avengers movie, Spider-Man will be seen again in the Homecoming sequel, also set for 2019 release.   Disney XD is gearing up to telecast the second season of Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy that is going to premiere on March 11. Its first season debuted in 2015. Season two will follow Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Groot as they fight to protect Earth from an alien mad scientist called The High Evolutionary. The two-episode premiere will also see the Guardians crossing paths with the Avengers. The first two episodes will be available on VOD and the Disney XD app for mobile devices and connected TVs. Miles Morales will be the “star” of Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man animated movie. That’s the official confirmed news from Sony's just-concluded animation presentation, a morning that also saw footage from The Emoji Movie and the next Smurfs movie. The movie will be written by The Lego Movie’s Phil Lord, who also acts as co-executive producer on the project with his Last Man on Earth and Lego Movie partner Chris Miller. The Little Prince’s Bob Persichetti and Rise of the Guardians’ Peter Ramsey will co-direct. Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, in conjunction with the Hong Kong Government, has opened the first-ever Marvel-themed ride, titled Iron Man Experience, at Hong Kong Disneyland. The new attraction will allow guests to enter the Iron Wing flight vehicle and join Iron Man in a battle against Hydra across the city of Hong Kong. Riders will make their way to the Hong Kong Stark Tower powered by the arc reactor and fly alongside Iron Man through the streets that resemble those in West Kowloon and downtown. Other Hong Kong landmarks, such as the Tsing Ma Bridge and the Victoria Harbour, will also be featured in the ride. Marvel and Funko as a part of collaboration have developed a series of animated shorts to help bring Marvel’s most popular superheroes and villains to life. The first video to launch in the series is Spellbound, and the rest two would be follow in the coming weeks. Spellbound, sees Spider-Man and Iron Man fighting Thor’s brother Loki, though the trickster’s mind-controlling scepter proves to make the battle more difficult. “Telling Marvel stories in the Funko Pop! aesthetic is a special kind of magic unlike anything we’ve ever done.
