Good news for lovers of Masha and the Bear in India. The Animaccord series is coming to the country on Nick Jr. India in a deal that expands the popular toon’s presence in the region. The pre-school series first premiered in India earlier this year on the country’s VOD platform VOOT Kids. Nick Jr. India will begin airing season one of the series on November 13. The episodes will be broadcast twice per day from Monday to Sunday. The series follows a mischievous girl and her kind, father-like friend. It began airing nine years ago in Russia and has since expanded to more than 100 countries via broadcasters like SBT (Brazil), Rai Yo-Yo (Italy), Canal 5 (Mexico) and KiKA (Germany). Ink Global has announced that Masha’s Tales – a new spin-off from one of the world’s biggest kids shows, Masha and the Bear – will be broadcast across Italy thanks to a new deal with Rai YoYo. The series is the work of Animaccord, the Russian studio behind Masha and the Bear, and sees the adorable but hyperactive Masha regaling her toys with her favourite stories, but of course reinventing them to fit her own unique take on life. The format is 26x6' episodes and the series is set to launch on Rai YoYo in Q1 this year. eOne Appoints Megalicense as Licensing Agent for Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom in Russia and the Ukraine Entertainment One (eOne) today announces that it has signed the rights to air its BAFTA and Emmy award-winning preschool series Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom on leading Russian broadcaster, Carousel. Russian licensing agent Megalicense has also been appointed to manage the consumer products programme for the brand throughout Russia and the Ukraine. Carousel, Russia’s leading free-to-air channel for families, has acquired series one and two (104 x 11 minute) of Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom and programming is scheduled to launch from 7th December 2015.
