View Conference adds names of speakers to show’s line-up of industry leaders

View Conference 2017, Italy’s renowned VFX, computer graphics, digital media games and VR conference, has revealed the addition of more speakers to the show’s line-up of industry leaders who will present at the renowned 18th annual event that will run from October 23-27 in Turin, Italy. Among the new names that have been added are four-time Oscar winner Joe Letteri, Oscar winner John Nelson, two-time Oscar winner Bill Westenhofer, and Oscar winner Martin Hill. These top talents join the roster of more than 25 top industry professionals already confirmed for the renowned conference. As per the programme, Weta Digital Senior VFX Supervisor Joe Letteri will present the evolution of visual effects technology and artistry behind War for the Planet of the Apes, the final film in the trilogy.

Rovio and Columbia Pictures have come out with the official release date of the sequel to The Angry Birds Movie, titled The Angry Birds Movie 2. As per the announcement, the CG animated sequel will release on September 20, 2019 that would coincide with the Angry Birds franchise’s 10th anniversary. “We are thrilled to be teaming up again with Sony Pictures after the fantastic cooperation in the first movie, and I can’t wait to experience the new journey in the upcoming film,” Rovio CEO Kati Levoranta said. “Rovio is continuing to focus on creating exciting new stories and experiences around our games, and we’re eager to take fans back into the vibrant Angry Birds world on the big screen,” he added. On Friday, The Walt Disney Company, DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures and Blue Sky Studios fired back at a proposed class action lawsuit over alleged anti-poaching and wage-fixing deals, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter. The defendants, which also include ImageMovers, Lucasfilm and Pixar Animation Studios, are requesting a dismissal on new antitrust claims as both coming too late and lacking necessary factual support.
