It was a great day for India when Gitanjali Rao along with her co-producer Michael Henrichs of Die Gesellschaft presented her feature debut Bombay Rose, a love story set on the streets of Mumbai under the influence of Bollywood at the 11th Animation Production Day. The 11th Animation Production Day took place from May 4-5 in Stuttgart’s L-Bank, held jointly by the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) and FMX. While the Animation Production Day presented 44 new projects to potential partners over two days, the ITFS offered a unique insight into four new feature-length projects at the stages of development or preproduction. Alexander Weimer of Berlin-based MovieBrats Pictures presented a trailer and animation tests for the $16m family adventure comedy Hump which marks former Pixar

With more than 85,000 visitors and 2.500 professionals each year, the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS, May 5-10, 2015) is one of the biggest and most important animation festivals worldwide. Since 2011, the ITFS presents the Animated Com Award, with prizes for applied animation in the categories of advertising, spatial communication and technology. The jury has chosen 50 high class films, from 141 submitted international productions, for this year's shortlist of the Animated Com Award. Ten of them were nominated for the three prize categories. Additionally Daimler AG awards the extra prize “Future needs Derivation – Mobility in a Digital World” and U. I. Lapp GmbH the, Lapp Connected Award“. (more…)

Stuttgart – The best productions in the field of applied animation received their prizes in the evening of April 25, 2014 in the Mercedes-Benz Museum Stuttgart at the Animated Com Award (held at the 21st  Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film). In this competition the best applied animation in the fields of advertising, spatial communication and technology are awarded.
