BRAND NEW PRESCHOOL SERIES PRODUCED BY TOONBOX ANIMATION STUDIO TO DEBUT ON JIM JAM AND YLE Ankama Animations, a leading independent digital creation group focused on the entertainment industry, has secured broadcast agreements for their new pre-school offering, Kit & Kate. Zodiak Kids Secures Deal With Sky

Zodiak Kids has secured a deal with Sky, which will take on rights to over 150 episodes of CBeebies favorites Waybuloo and live-action crafts program Mister Maker. The episodes will be available in the U.K. and Eire through Sky’s On Demand service and its mobile TV platform Sky Go. (more…)

Netflix Drives in Seven New Kids Series in Kids Programming

As it continues its kids programming drive, Netflix has ordered four new toons to join its growing lineup of global Netflix Originals, including Saban Brands and Cirque du Soleil Média’s Luna Petunia (pictured). It’s also acquired an additional three animated series for various territories. The first 11-ep season of preschool series Cirque de Soleil - Luna Petunia, which Kidscreen provided a first-look at in February, will premiere worldwide as an exclusive original on the SVOD giant in fall 2016. A franchise roll out, including a consumer products line, interactive digital content and a possible live tour, are slated to follow the premiere. (more…)

Corus earns exclusive programming rights to all Nick content in Canada

Corus Entertainment and Nickelodeon are extending their partnership with a new long-term deal that gives Corus exclusive rights to all Nick content across digital and linear platforms in Canada. Under the new licensing deal, Corus is the sole distributor and rights holder of Nickelodeon’s content catalog in Canada, including current shows like Bubble Guppies (pictured) and library titles.
