Disney showed off a lot of new movies at its D23 conference last month, but one of the most arresting pieces of footage was from The Jungle Book — and now it's time for the world at large to see the first trailer. Jon Favreau is directing the adaptation of Disney's animated film, and while it's part of the studio's larger initiative of turning its classics into live-action films, the new Jungle Book is actually a CG and live-action hybrid. The animals and environment are actually photorealistic computer-generate imagery, merged together with performance capture and footage shot of the cast, particularly Neel Sethi, who plays Mowgli. Dreamworks Animation has just released a brand new clip for their upcoming movie, How To Train Your Dragon 2. In this clip we see a much more grown up viking-hero, Hiccup, and his majestic companion, the dragon named Toothless, on another journey. In the first film the plot focused on humans discovering how to interact peacefully with the once feared dragons, however it looks like in this film the dragons will be helping the humans discover new uncharted territory. According to Bleeding Cool Hiccup has now taken it upon himself to become some sort of explorer now that he has harnessed the power of flying dragons. The clip shows the loveably-comedic relationship that the two share. Looking out into the vast and foggy unknown land, Hiccup asks Toothless what they should call the new land.
