Disney Asia Picks Up New Season of ‘Camp Lakebottom’

 9 Story Media Group announced that it has licensed an additional 26 x 22’ episodes of the animated comedy series Camp Lakebottom to Disney Channels Asia, which includes Southeast Asia, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The second season was also picked up by several other Disney territories including the U.S., the U.K., CEEMA, India, Japan and Latin America. Camp Lakebottom premiered on both TELETOON Canada and Disney XD (U.S.) in July 2013. DHX Grows ‘Teletubbies’ U.K. Licensees

DHX Brands has appointed more U.K. licensees as it ramps up licensing activity for its new version of the TV series "Teletubbies." Copyright Promotions Licensing Group, the U.K. licensing agent for the property, brokered the deals. New licensees include Worlds Apart (furniture and accessories), Aykroyds (nightwear and underwear), Character World (bedding), Amscan (partyware), Bon Bon Buddies (confectionery), Posh Paws (bags) GB Eye (posters) and Zak UK (melamine tableware). Character World Bought Out at £36 million

Character World has announced a secondary management buyout that will allow the licensee to expand internationally. Valuing the business at £36 million, a £16 million investment from Manchester-based Palatine Private Equity plus debt facilities of £22 million from RBS will allow Character World to consolidate its position in the U.K. and continue to expand abroad. Global publisher Parragon Books has partnered with Platinum Films to publish a range of activity formats for the TV series "Matt Hatter Chronicles" in Australia, the U.K. and South Africa. CN Launches Anti-Bullying Campaign

Cartoon Network has launched a new anti-bullying campaign to raise awareness and empower kids to take action against bullying. The CN Buddy Network kicks off in the U.K. for National Anti-Bullying Week today and leverages Cartoon Network’s animation and storytelling to address bullying in a way that motivates kids to talk about their experiences, be a good friend and offer support to others.
