The move has come following Pepsi’s arch rival- Coca-Cola launched its Share –a Coke the other year,  an emoji embracement will certainly get Pepsi more shelf and floor space in major retailers across continents  ... This Summer PepsiCo is all set to unleash an emoji-clad packaging campaign with high hopes, it is expected that characters will help the global giant in spurring sales, accelerating its social media traffic and countering its arch rival –Coco-Cola campaigns. A library of more than 200 which are inspired by the beverage brand is in place with spanning over 100 countries and million consumers. (more…)

Entertainment One Licensing (eOne) today proudly announces the appointment of Nina Leong as Senior Vice President, Lifestyle. Her appointment is set to strengthen the growing status of its pop culture brands SO SO Happy and Skelanimals. Nina Leong has served as a consultant for eOne’s Lifestyle division since October 2014 and in her new role as SVP she will manage the lifestyle team based in eOne’s Calabasas, California office. Reporting in to Andrew Carley, Head of Global Licensing, Leong is charged with developing U.S. and international brand strategies for its lifestyle properties across multiple channels to drive worldwide merchandise sales and creating global retail programmes. Garfield Gets More Apparel Partners

Paws, Inc. has signed a range of new apparel licensees in the U.S., Brazil, Australia, Canada, the Middle East and France for Garfield. The Classics and Fright Rags have joined the character's apparel program in the U.S. with Classics focusing on tops and bottoms and Fright Rags featuring a horror-inspired version of the feisty feline. The two new additions join ODM, which has a line of men’s and boys’ tees currently at Walmart, and Paws, Inc. is looking to add more apparel partners to the U.S. roster. (more…)

Disney Asia Picks Up New Season of ‘Camp Lakebottom’

 9 Story Media Group announced that it has licensed an additional 26 x 22’ episodes of the animated comedy series Camp Lakebottom to Disney Channels Asia, which includes Southeast Asia, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The second season was also picked up by several other Disney territories including the U.S., the U.K., CEEMA, India, Japan and Latin America. Camp Lakebottom premiered on both TELETOON Canada and Disney XD (U.S.) in July 2013. Disney Donates US$55 million

In support of the rollout of its new learning brand Disney Imagicademy, Disney is donating US$55 million in apps and books to bolster reading programs for under-fives across the US. The donation is also part of US President Barack Obama’s Invest in Us initiative that challenges business leaders, philanthropists, public officials and everyday Americans to improve early childhood programs.
