Proving its mettle, Famous Studios brought Motion Capture to India. In collaboration with Centroid, UK, Famous Studious have created the city’s first end-to-end Motion Capture Lab, ready to create magic for Indian visual content. The fully-equipped lab is set up at Famous Studios, Mahalaxmi, the age-old stronghold for the brand, over decades. The lab was launched, and a walk-through was undertaken by Phil Stilgoe, CEO & Producer, Centroid – UK, Serbia, India. Axis Studios launches debut VR film ‘The Bond’

UK visual effects and animation group Axis Studios has made its first foray into owned IP with the launch of VR film ‘The Bond’, written and directed by Olly Reid. The short is available for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. The film takes viewers on a journey in the footsteps of a mystical character, TiaMuati, as she seeks out animals in trouble and ‘spirit walks’ into their minds. Through the power of virtual reality, viewers suddenly find themselves inhabiting terrified prey and tiny insects. The film is partly funded by Scottish Enterprise and designed to maximize the uniqueness of the medium by placing viewers in the shoes of multiple characters and allowing them to engage with the environment from a variety of dynamic perspectives. Cartoon Network and Maximum Games, a video game publisher in partnership with GameMill Entertainment, have joined forces to release the video game “Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers.” The side-scrolling action game will merge together the universes of some of Cartoon Network’s most popular franchises including “Steven Universe,” “The Amazing World of Gumball,” “Clarence,” “Uncle Grandpa,” “Adventure Time” and “Regular Show.” The game also features tag-team gameplay, customization, character progression, special stages and boss battles. “Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers” is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo 3DS in the U.S., U.K., EMEA, Australia and New Zealand.
